Our History

Set on beautiful Lake Lomond, Farm By The Lake, a non-profit organization, was left to all of us by Bagley native Richard C. Davids, a naturalist, author, editor and teacher. Richard wanted Farm By The Lake to provide a space where "we can find renewal with the land, with another, and with God." It is currently run by a board of directors and it's caretakers.
We offer 2 year around cabins and one seasonal cabin, along with a few campsites, an enclosed picnic shelter, a bath house and a stunning setting for weddings.

Cabin Rentals

~Chicken House~

This cabin is built on the foundation of Richard's chicken coop, therefore acquiring its name. This cabin has 2 full sized bedrooms, with doors for privacy and 2 lofts(ladder loft with 3 twin beds and a stair loft with 2 twin beds). This cabin offers all the amenities of a full kitchen, bath and wood stove.

~Log Cabin~

Used as the original homestead, the Log Cabin offers a dorm style sleeping area with a full size bed and 5 twins on the second level. The ground floor comes with a fully equipped kitchen, bath, living room, fireplace, pull out couch and dining room, not to mention a large window overlooking the lake.

~Primitive Cabin~

The newest addition is a one room seasonal cabin equipped with A/C, coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge. Only a short walk to the bath house and can sleep up to 5 people with a full size bed, a futon and a loft with 2 twin mattresses. A cabin for the "true" campers!
